As I recall it was the drummer and one of the others. I seem to remember the singer was from Baltimore so it wouldn't've been him. And as I recall, they were invited to, but they had about the same feelings for the place as I did ;)

While not my first brush with small-worldism, I think that was the first of my many (mostly indirect) brushes with (minor) fame. A couple others being Voltaire (http://www.voltaire.net/) and Jason Webley (http://jasonwebley.com/) if you're familiar with either of them.

Yes, Hootie and the Blowfish ARE next! I'm on the major league baseball website for about an average of 60 seconds every day because, yes, I follow the Cubs and Tigers. Anyway, I was surprised to see recent advertisements for an exclusive acoustic Hootie and the Blowfish concert recorded at MLB Studios!!

So I just had to click on the link and check it out. It was awful, of course. They have clips of everyone's favorites like "Hold My hand", "only wanna be with you", "Let her Cry", etc. Pretty sad, huh? Those are still the songs they play. All four original members. So if you are itching for some aging Hootie playing all the old classics, Major League Baseball has delivered.
