beautifulduckweedRemember earlier this week when I started frothing at the mouth because the CDC had apparently recommended that all women consider themselves pre-pregnant?
Well, seems like it's not so much the CDC espousing that opinion as the Washington Post article giving the study a nasty little spin. Amanda of Pandagon takes another bash at the way the WaPo has spun it in this article.

So, a pissy letter to the Editor is called for, methinks, and not so much a pissy note to the CDC.
(Hey, isn't the Washington Post one of those beloved bastions of liberal bias over which so many conservatives love to froth their mouths?)
(And here's where Candy starts frothing at the mouth a bit. No, not about the liberal vs. conservative bias of the news, but about the illusion of journalistic neutrality. Those of you in the audience who've read anything Robert McChesney has written can excuse yourself from the lecture, because what I'm going to say is going to sound awful familiar. However, I'm not going to froth today, because goddamn, you guys, I'm tired, and I still have over 2 and a half hours left in the workday *sob* and I want to quote numbers and such at you and I need some books in front of me to do that properly, so hold on to your panties, I'll get good and frothy some time this weekend about the so-called neutrality of the news, mmmkay?)
