...IN MY PANTS.

No, not really.

I'm talking about Smart Bitches. It still boggles me that it's become as popular as it has. Sarah and I didn't bother to advertise it. It was just...picked up by a few people, and then it spread by word of mouth.

Today, while checking the referrer log, I saw it was linked to by a website run by a couple of Reedies.

I don't know why this blows my mind, but it does. I know we have people in Portland who read us; hell, I've met a few of them. But it was like when Schwern mentioned Smart Bitches to some friends of his, and one of them already knew about it. I'm feeling the same "What the hell? How did THAT happen?" sensation.

In sum: I am easily impressed and easily amazed, and just tickled pink that our foul-mouthed analyses of one very particular aspect of pop culture has become as successful as it has.

I hadn't heard about Smart Bitches, but man, now that I have I must tell everyone, because that's hilarious! Bwhahahahahahaha. You rule.

... I think I know those girls.

In passing, at least.

Man, the internet is small.

Oh, Madeline and Stacia! It's quite possible they encountered you through one of your mutual acquaintances, such as me. They're good peoples.

An unrelated but informative intrusion

Please forgive a passing Samaritan - newly added to Jess' friends list and of a mind to wander the profiles of those who tickle me ("AND COME ON ALL TAKERS" indeed) - for offering you one possible means of bypassing JiveJournal, Interest Page finicky-ness.

By interconnecting the wording of longer interests with underscores you should be able to get away with both "getting_ready_to_rock_steady" and "treating pinot_noir_like_it's_blood"; you may even be able to reduce the amount of underscoring to create the likes of "getting_ready to rock_steady" and other, more legible combinations therein. This does represent an assumption on my part, that your desired effect isn't ruined utterly through this process, but why let something as inconsequential as site mechanics stifle your creativity?

My apologies for posting out of turn or topic, I will continue of my way now.
