Stars and John Vanderslice

beautifulduckweedDudes! Stars is on tour. November 15, Crystal Ballroom. Tickets are decently cheap--$15. If you purchase them from the Crystal Ballroom directly, you get to bypass allllll the bullshit service fees and pay only a $1 facility charge.

Also, one of my favorites, John Vanderslice, is playing at the Doug Fir on October 18. The opening band? Bishop Allen, who are nifty indie popsters in their own right, but some of the more Internet-nerdy among you might recognize guitarist Christian Rudder as one of the founders of OKCupid (and one of the guiding forces behind OKCupid's predecessor, SparkMatch). Tickets are $12. I'm definitely going to this one; Vanderslice is one of my favorite singer-songwriters, and his concerts consistently turn me into a happy pile of shivering nerves. I highly encourage you to check this show out with me. Those of you wanting to check his music out: I will be happy to share some albums with you. You know how to find me.
