Another idea for a party!
Sep. 8th, 2007 04:01 pmSo I occasionally say things like "I love this book so much, I'd totally make out with it at a party." Or, somewhat more rarely, "I love this book so much, I want to marry it."
octi_stripe and I were talking about this the other day, and she said "Well, why don't we marry those books?"
GENIUS.
So some time in the near-ish future, i.e., once Kelly gets back from Manchester, I want to throw a party wherein we bring our very favoritest books, dress swanky, marry them in some kind of deeply silly ceremony (as opposed to the utterly serious varieties of biblio-human marriage ceremonies) and eat wedding cake baked from scratch (likely courtesy of myself and
imfallingup), as well as other assorted bits of tastiness. And then maybe we can take turns reading our favorite bits from those favorite books? And figure out other fun, stupid things to do? I don't think this will be too much of a problem with you lot.
Thoughts?
