Googling is verboten, and the person who gets the most correct guesses gets...my eternal admiration for being a bigger dork about music than I am.

Heh. I went through over 35 songs getting to 25 because I kept getting classical pieces and instrumental-only songs. konomaigo suggested that I should post the first 8 measures instead, but even I'm not that hardcore.

Also, I'm realizing how very mumbly the bands I tend to listen to are. I had to look up an embarrassing number of these.

Is #10 a Beatles' song? I can hear the song in my head, but can't place the title.

Actually, it isn't. I'm looking at my list, and all the songs were released in the last 15 years or so--not a whole lot of range there.

i think 23 is sufjan, but the title escapes me (his songs are most memorably titled, too. damn.)

Yes, you're right, it's Sufjan Stevens. The title for this one is quite horribly long, though not as long as track number 2 on Illinois; I'm not sure I'd get it right off the top of my head, personally. I'd be satisfied with the first four or five words, frankly :) .

You didn't spot the Interpol? Or the Bjork?
