On musical throwbacks
Dec. 6th, 2006 10:09 amI've mentioned before that Silversun Pickups, OK Go and Snow Patrol are 90s throwbacks. Then this morning, I received an e-mail notification from Monqui Presents that all three of them are touring together in 2007.
Who called it? I CALLED IT.
I really, really like Silversun Pickups, enjoy OK Go quite a bit and feel meh about Snow Patrol. I'm trying to ponder whether getting tickets to see the two opening bands will be worth it, especially in an arena setting, which is my least favorite type of venue. I'm still kicking myself for not getting tickets to the Siversun Pickups and Wolfmother show last Saturday before they sold out (though an impromptu visit with
konomaigo helped soothe my savage breast in the absence of music), and this would help make up for missing them last time around. AND I'll get to see OK Go, who, if their videos are any indication, should be tremendous fun live, even if I'm not in love with all their songs. But but BUT: big arena with crappy acoustics, jostling for a decent view when I'm such a short-arse, and I'm not particularly interested in the headliner. Quel dilemme.
