New Musics

beautifulduckweedI knew The Decemberists had a new album, The Crane Wife, coming out in early October. What I didn't know was that Beck had a new one, too: The Information. Both were released on the same day, actually.
Where have I been? Obviously I'm not checking my favorite musicians' websites obsessively enough.
Reviews forthcoming once I have their new albums in my filthy little hands. I predict I'm going to love The Crane Wife, since they played a great number of tracks from that album during their (not all that) Secret Show at the Acme that I managed to squeeze into a few weeks back, and they were all brilliant.
I also have various albums by Mogwai, Feist, The New Pornographers, Zero 7, Viva Voce, Bloc Party and The Silver Jews coming in from the library. I'm going to be swamped with new music. Gleeeeeee.
